Two defeats for Austria at the four-nation tournament in Norway

The young Austrian national team suffered two defeats at the four-nation tournament in Oslo (NOR). First, the ÖEHV team lost 2:5 to France, followed by a 1:6 defeat against Denmark. The remaining three ICE nations - Italy, Hungary and Slovenia - took part in a tournament in Sosnowiec (POL). All three teams finished the tournament with one win each.

Goalkeeper Atte Tolvanen made his debut for the Austrian national team in the 2:5 defeat against France. However, the EC Red Bull Salzburg goalie was unable to prevent the clear defeat. Lukas Kainz of the Moser Medical Graz99ers scored both goals for the ÖEHV team. In the second game against Denmark, Austria lost 1:6, with Nico Feldner from Steinbach Black Wings Linz scoring the only Austrian goal.

Poland leaves ICE nations behind at four-nation tournament
The hosts celebrated victory at the four-nation tournament in Sosnowiec (POL) with three wins and a maximum of nine points. Poland opened with a 5:2 victory over Italy, followed by a 3:1 win against Slovenia and finally defeated Hungary 3:1. The ICE nations each recorded one win. Hungary won 3:1 against Slovenia, but were beaten 2:1 by Italy. Slovenia, on the other hand, prevailed against the 2026 Olympic hosts, Italy, with 3:0.
