Domenico Alberga of HCB Südtirol Alperia time approxmately 35:22, was involved in an incident deemed as Slashing (IIHF Rule 159). The video evidence was sent to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline - Category 1 - 'Careless'.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, Daniel Catenacci of HCB Südtirol Alperia will receive supplementary discipline under rule 159 – Slashing.

On February 21st in Klagenfurt an incident occurred involving Bozen player #88 Domenici Alberga and Klagenfurt player #8 Nick Petersen which is deemed slashing. No penalty was assessed by the on-ice officials.

As the video shows, KAC - Petersen skates through the neutral zone into the attacking zone with puck possession. BOZ - Alberga is located slightly behind Petersen and with limited options, makes a choice to use an illegal manner, deemed slashing.

As Petersen entered the attacking zone, Alberga coming off the players bench is forced to limit Petersen angle of approach into the attacking zone. With Petersen realizing his best outlet was to turn right, it immediately put Alberga at a disadvantage, as he was now deemed located behind Petersen. Alberga made a choice to use his stick in a slashing manner in the hand area of Petersen. After review of the PSC, the 1st slash Alberga made was not deemed dangerous in manner. The 2nd slash was deemed dangerous and worthy of supplementary discipline. Specifically, with the 2nd slash, Alberga turns his stick blade over and makes a forceful slash, directly at the hand of Petersen. It is determined the the toe of the blade of the stick, due to turning the stick, made direct contact with the arm of Petersen, causing an apparent injury.

Effective immediately, Domenico Alberga #88 of HCB Südtirol Alperia is suspended for 2 games and fined 400.00 Euros. 1 game for the respective slashing incident and 1 game as a repeat offender.
