Two new arrivals for Bratislava

The iClinic Bratislava Capitals signed defenceman Sam Jardine, who comes to Slovakia from the East Coast Hockey League. The 27-year-old Canadian already spent one season in Europe when he also participated in the Champions Hockey League with the Cardiff Devils in 2019/20. The 26-year-old Swede Tor Immo also joined the club. The winger has played in the Allsvenskan in recent years.

Sam Jardine transferred from Ohio State University to the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League in 2015. Over the next few years, the defenseman played 71 AHL games (4 goals, 9 assists), but spent the majority of his time in the East Coast Hockey League. For the 2019/20 season, Jardine made his first move to Europe to join the Cardiff Devils. The now 27-year-old also took part in the Champions Hockey League with the team from the Elite Ice Hockey League. The Welsh side finished third in their group with the Moser Medical Graz99ers - Jardine contributed an assist in a 5-2 away win in Styria. The defender then returned to North America to play for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the ECHL. In 73 games, Jardine recorded four goals and 41 assists.

The 26-year-old Swede Tor Immo is also moving to Slovakia. The winger has been active in the Allsvenskan for the last four years. Last season he scored 15 goals and 31 assists in 61 games for BIK Karlskoga.

Two departures
Mitch Hults moved from the iClinic Bratislava Capitals to TPS Turku in the Finnish Liiga. The 26-year-old US-American scored 23 goals and 26 assists in 55 ICE games. In addition, 31-year-old Adam Bezak left the Capitals for HC Slovan Bratislava. The forward recorded nine points in 53 games last season.
