After three consecutive losses, the Vienna Capitals got back on track. The hosts started strong against the Tyroleans but were unable to capitalize on their initial pressure. Instead, Owre put the visitors ahead on the first power play. Zane Franklin tied the game midway through, pushing the puck past HCI goalie Matt Vernon. The Canadian turned the game around with his second goal in the 47th minute, and soon after, Souch made it 3:1. Owre struck again to cut the deficit, but Innsbruck—hurt by several penalties—couldn’t find the equalizer. Both teams are back in action on Sunday: Vienna visits Villach, while Innsbruck travels to Graz.

FTC-Telekom also won the second meeting of the season against HC Falkensteiner Pustertal, once again by a 3:2 score. The Budapest side got off to the better start at home, taking an early lead when Rasmus Bengtsson’s shot found its way into the net. Kestilä doubled the advantage in the middle frame before Bowlby responded for the South Tyroleans. The final period followed a similar pattern: Gordon restored the two-goal lead, and Rueschhoff’s strike made it 3:2, but Ferencváros held firm to secure all three points and climb to eighth in the standings.
