EC GRAND Immo VSV has equalized in the best-of-seven quarterfinal series against HK SZ Olimpija. Villach won 4:3 at the Tivoli - and defied an efficient powerplay of the home team. The "Dragons" scored all three goals with numerical superiority. The second-placed team after regular season made up for an early deficit through Brett Flemming (17.) and then took the lead thanks to a brace from Anton Karlsson (24. and 28.). Two more powerplay goals by the home team, Scott Kosmachuk answered with the game-winner two and a half minutes left. After winning the face-off, he put a well-placed wrist shot into the far corner.

Vienna ties the series
The spusu Vienna Capitals also managed to equalize the series. The Viennese team won 4:1 at EC-KAC and tied the best-of-seven series at 1-1. Lebler brace gives Salzburg 2-0 series lead
EC Red Bull Salzburg made it 2-0 in the best-of-seven series against HC TESLA Orli Znojmo. As in the first meeting, the regular season champions prevailed 3-2. The lead of the Czechs by their top scorer Radek Prokes was equalized by Ty Loney (17.), who successfully finished a 2-on-0 situation - right after a penalty against Keegan Kanzig had expired.
