Vienna back on top-spot
After a dominating performance the spusu Vienna Capitals are back on the first place in standings, winning their home-game against the EC Red Bull Salzburg 4:1 to grab the third consecutive victory. It was Vienna’s first home-win against the six-times Champion since the playoffs 2019. A deflection of Sascha Bauer gave the hosts an early lead after 46 seconds, which boost them for the whole 60 minutes. With a big discipline and a perfect PK the “Caps” cruised past the Salzburg side, with goals of Mario Fischer, Colin Campbell and Niki Hartl. Peter Hochkofler scored Red Bull’s lone goal.

Sticha pins down EC-KAC home-win

The EC-KAC got its second consecutive home-win, defeating HC TIWAG Innsbruck “Die Haie” 2:1. Klagenfurt booked the fourth season win – allowing again only one goal, like in the previous victories too. With five seconds left in the first Clemens Unterweger’s blueliner got the “Rotjacken” on the scoreboard, Colton Saucerman tied halfway through the game with a blueliner too. Later in the last, Dennis Sticha (48.) cleared it for the hosts with a deflection. Innsbruck lost its third road-game.

Fehérvár secures home-win
Again Hydro Fehérvár AV19 let slip away an early three-goal lead, but finally secured a tight 5:4 home-win against HCB Südtirol Alperia, which for the first time this season came out without a point, while the Hungarian side grabbed the third consecutive victory. Fehérvár takes over Bolzano in standings, sitting on fifth spot. The Hungarians led by three after six minutes, as the “foxes” tied it up in the middle frame, where Szabo and Stipsicz retook the lead for the home-team.
