Dave Barr has been head coach of the spusu Vienna Capitals for the last two seasons in the win2day ICE Hockey League, with the Canadian leading the "Caps" to the semi-finals in each of his two seasons. "My two years in Vienna were very special, but it's hard for me to be so far away from my family. My wife can't come to Vienna often because of her job, and I haven't been able to see my children much either. I have seen my granddaughter for two and a half days so far. It is time for me to return to North America to be closer to my wife and family. Nevertheless, it has been a great two years of my life that I have been able to spend in Vienna," says Dave Barr.

Linz extends with Mitsch and Lindner
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz have signed Jakob Mitsch and Lorenz Lindner to new contracts. The two players are expected to take their next big development steps in Upper Austria. Forward Mitsch played 46 games and scored four goals, defender Lindner played 27 games from the beginning of November until the playoffs.
