Vienna vs. Bolzano opens Sunday’s gameday

With leader HCB Südtirol Alperia stopping by at runner-up spusu Vienna Capitals, Sunday’s gameday in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League opens 4.30 pm, as PULS 24 covers the game live. Further, the EC-KAC hosts HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie at 5.30 pm, while the game iClinic Bratislava Capitals against EC GRAND Immo VSV closes a full hockey-day at 7.00 pm. Both non tv-games will be available as pay-per-view video-stream on live.ice.hockey.

Saturday’s ICE-games’ will be available as pay-per-view video-stream on live.ice.hockey too, as live coverage starts at 5.30 pm.

  • Leader HCB Südtirol Alperia, still playing in Bratislava Saturday night, will finish its road trip on Sunday with the game at spusu Vienna Capitals.
  • Bolzano, which has played 18 games ahead of Saturday's game, leads the standings by one point ahead of Vienna (21 games).
  • With 1,83 goals conceded out of the game, HCB has the best defense in the league. VIC has conceded 2,24 goals per game so far.
  • VIC has been defeated in each of its last three home games, twice after shootout.
  • HCB recently suffered two home defeats: against KAC in overtime and against VIC after a shootout. (both 2:3)
  • The two teams are meeting for the fourth time this season, three times the result was 3:2. First HCB won at home in regulation, then VIC at home after 60 minutes and last Saturday again VIC with 3:2 after shootout.   • Not even 24 hours after the showdown with ICE-leader HCB Südtirol Alperia, league newcomer iClinic Bratislava Capitals hosts EC GRAND Immo VSV.
  • It is a duel of two table neighbors: BRC, without taking into account Saturday's game, is two points ahead of tenth VSV in ninth place, although the Villach team has currently played two games more.
  • BRC has won two of its last three games. Villach managed a shootout win in the same period (2-1 @ VIC).
  • BRC recently suffered two defeats in a row at home - only one goal was scored in each game.
  • VSV has always given away a lead in its last three defeats. The "Adler" were also ahead in the final shootout win in Vienna.
  • BRC has won both previous season games against Villach. The home game only after penalty shootout.
