Mario Fischer (#50) of spusu Vienna Capitals time 39:01, was involved in an incident deemed as Boarding (IIHF Rule 119). The video evidence was sent to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline - Category 1 - 'Careless'.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, Mario Fischer (#50) of spusu Vienna Capitals will receive supplementary discipline under IIHF rule 119 – Boarding.

On April 1st in Bozen, an incident occurred involving Bozen player #7 Daniel Catenacci and Vienna player #50 Mario Fischer, which is deemed Boarding. A 5 minute major plus game misconduct penalty was assessed by the on-ice officials.

As the video shows, Bozen enters the neutral zone and creates a chip play on a soft dump, creating the puck to remain in the corner. This soft dump creates a race for the puck, in which Catenacci takes the lead into the corner boards. As both Catenacci and Fischer approach the puck, Fischer delivers a body check deemed illegal.

The incident was sent to the ICEHL - PSC and determined supplementary discipline is required. It is evidentially clear that both players were aware of the proximity to each other. With both players going 90* to the boards, it is immediately a high risk situation. At the goal line, Catenacci turns his body to his left in a stopping motion, which puts himself in the direct oncoming path of Fischer and Fischer's direct path to the puck. What Catenacci could not prepare for and reason for supplementary discipline is a forceful push into the boards. The push from Fischer causes Catenacci to be thrown violently into the boards. Additionally, the push was caused through the use of a horizontal stick, deemed the contact and force point. Fischer does extend his arms out, which is the direct cause of Catenacci being propelled into the boards. Catenacci did continue playing the remainder of the game. It was also taken into consideration, that Catenacci being aware of Fischer and both the angle to the boards and his proximity to Fischer and the boards, Catenacci was able to get his arms out and somewhat protect himself from being seriously injured.

Effective immediately, Mario Fischer (#50) of spusu Vienna Capitals is suspended for 2 games and fined 400.00 Euros.
