EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV extended its winning streak with a 3-2 road win at Hydro Fehérvár AV19, as the "Adler" celebrated their fifth success in a row and are in third place in the table for the second time in the current win2day ICE Hockey League season. Anthony Luciani broke the goal barrier of the Hungarians already in the first period. After 2 hours, 35 minutes and 50 seconds – and thus the third-longest goal barrage in the league – the vice-champion had to concede another goal. Fehérvár then drew level in the middle frame, also had the appropriate answer to the restored VSV lead by Marco Richter (33-). In the final period, the Austrians managed to decide the game early with a spectacular solo by Chris Collins (44.h). Also because goalkeeper JP Lamoureux shone with 39 saves on an intense day for him.

17th season win for top duo each

The top duo placed directly in front of Villach also claimed victories on Friday. Both leader HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie and second-placed HCB Südtirol Alperia picked up their now 17th win in the current win2day ICE Hockey League season: The Tyroleans prevailed 5-4 at Moser Medical Graz99ers. Despite leading 2-0 after the first period, the guests fell behind midway through the game, after the Styrians scored three goals within 158 seconds (4:3). However, the strong power play and Martin Ulmer let the "Haie" finally cheer in the third seasonal comparison with the 99ers too: Ulmer, who gave two assists early in the game, scored the game-winner after a rebound with 75 seconds left.

Bolzano beat the Steinbach Black Wings Linz 3:1 at home, as the second-placed team benefited from a brace from Mitch Hults in the first period: The American scored after 39 seconds and 15 seconds before the first intermission. Midway through the game, Cameron Ginnetti increased the lead with his second ICE goal. Linz shortened the score in the second period through Kilian Rappold (36.), but the Foxes, which were strong at home, did not allow any more. For the two-time champion from South Tyrol, it was the eleventh home victory in the current season.
