For the fifth in the table EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV it was already the fifth win over the HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie in a row. Already after 83 seconds the Carinthians took a 1:0 lead through a worth seeing volley goal by Anthony Luciani. The 32-year-old Canadian also scored the goal to 3:2 in the 35th minute in the power play. Overall, Luciani already scored six goals this season in just nine appearances. In a equal match, the "Eagles" took the lead three times, but each time the guests from Innsbruck were able to equalize. Only when Nicolas Rivett-Mattinen scored twelve minutes before the end to make it 4:3, the "Sharks" had no answer and lost for the first time after four wins in a row.

Innsbruck slipped to the third place in the standings as defending champion EC Red Bull Salzburg won clearly 6:1 against the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg, inflicting the sixth defeat in a row on the league newcomer. For the Red Bulls, with Nicolai Meyer scoring for the first time, it was their ninth win from the past ten games across all competitions.

Only second win for KAC over Pustertal

For only the second time in the sixth duel of the win2day ICE Hockey League, the EC-KAC was able to defeat the HC Pustertal Wölfe. The Klagenfurt team, who already led 3:0 after the first period, prevailed 5:2 in the end. Rihards Bukarts was the only player to score twice. The KAC thus confirmed their upward trend and celebrated their third win in a row. For Pustertal it was the second defeat en suite. In the standings, the EC-KAC climbed into the top-6, the "Wolves" slipped to the eleventh place and are thus just below the line.

The South Tyroleans were ousted from the top-10 by the HK SZ Olimpija, who moved past both Pustertal and Graz with a 5:2 home win over the Moser Medical Graz99ers and are now ninth in the table. Although the Styrians were still in front 2:1 after two periods, Olimpija was successful four times in the final period, including two times in a shorthanded situation, and turned the game clearly in their favor. While Ziga Pance scored twice for the “Dragons”, Andrew Yogan scored on his debut for the 99ers. The 30-year-old US-American has already played in the ICE Hockey League in Bolzano, Innsbruck, Fehérvár and Dornbirn. In addition to Yogan's debut goal, the 99ers also had a second piece of good news, as Ken Ograjensek was able to play for the first time this season after a long injury layoff.

In the fifth game of the evening Hydro Fehérvár AV19 won 1:0 against the Steinbach Black Wings Linz. The game-winner by Istvan Bartalis was scored just five and a half minutes before the end of the game. For Olivier Roy in the goal of Fehérvár it was the third shutout in his 15th appearance of the season. In the standings, the Black Wings remain in fourth place despite the second home defeat in a row. Fehérvár, which celebrated its second win in a row away from home, is seventh in the standings. However, the gap to the sixth place is only one point.
