Vienna and Graz without scoring a goal
The spusu Vienna Capitals and the Moser Medical Graz99ers both suffered clear defeats on Friday. The Viennese lost their first test game on home ice against the Czech club Mountfield HK with 0-7. Head Coach Marc Habscheid's team was already trailing 0-4 after the first period. The "Caps" thus completed their preseason games and balanced with three wins from seven games.

Meanwhile, Graz lost their first game of the Energie Steiermark Trophy, as they got beaten by German representative Nürnberg Ice Tigers 3-0. The Styrians conceded all three goals in the second period – and within two minutes. The "99ers" thus remain without a goal in the current preseason for the third time. On Sunday, they will meet HK Nitra (SVK).
