On November 7th in the 2:3 shootout loss in Bolzano, EC GRAND Immo VSV played its last game. After a 15-day break, the "Adler" now return to league action - with some delay. Their encounters against Bratislava (league exit) and Innsbruck (medical precautions), originally scheduled for last weekend, could not take place. Now they face the Dornbirn Bulldogs for the first time this season on Tuesday. Rob Daum, whose contract was recently extended by one season plus option, wants to land another win with Villach after two defeats in a row.

Vorarlberg team’s form curve points downwards: Kai Suikkanen's team remained winless in the last nine games. Only once the Bulldogs had a longer losing streak, when last year's quarterfinalists suffered 13 straight defeats at the season start. During the current losing streak, Dornbirn conceded an average of 4.67 goals against - in the nine games prior to that, they only conceded 2.67. The eleventh-place team is definitely not lacking when shorthanded, where it ranks second in the league with 84.31%. Only challenger Villach, which has taken points in five of its last six games in Dornbirn, winning four of them, maintains an even better penalty killing (84.62%).
