EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV also won its third game of the season after regulation with a commanding 5-2 home victory over HC TIWAG Innsbruck and is now on top of the table with the maximum amount of points (9). An early brace from Robert Sabolic (4., 8.) and a strong individual effort from captain Alexander Rauchenwald (18.) paved the way for Villach side eventual clear victory. Innsbruck, which created too little offense, directing only 22 shots on the goal of ex-goalie Rene Swette, lost for the second time this season.

Salzburg and Pustertal also still unbeaten
EC Red Bull Salzburg and HC Pustertal Wölfe also hold at three wins from three games. The defending champions inflicted their first defeat of the season on Hydro Fehérvár AV19 in their home debut. The 4-1 was already the 13th win of the "Red Bulls" against the Hungarians in a row. Peter Schneider decided the game with a brace at the beginning of the finale frame.

Alex Petan was responsible for the decision in Pustertal's 5-2 home win over Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, scoring a hat-trick for the "Wolves”, two on PP. Tomek Valtonen's team was already 3-0 ahead after twelve minutes. Asiago thus also suffered a defeat in the third game. The intervening goal to 1-3 by William Rapuzzi (29.), was the first ever goal of the season for the Italians.

Second win in a row for Ljubljana and Feldkirch
HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana and BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg are the chasing duo of the three still unbeaten teams in the win2day ICE Hockey League: The Slovenians won 3-2 after overtime at Moser Medical Graz99ers, taking points in the third game too and getting their second win. Twice the "Dragons", which had a 5-on-3 for three minutes in the first period, gave away an advantage, William Cullen (62.) finally scored the game winning goal in overtime. Graz conceded the second OT defeat in a row.

The team from Vorarlberg beat the Steinbach Black Wings Linz 4-1 at home. Cedric Lacroix leveled the Upper Austrians' lead (36.) - three goals in the final period then made the turnaround for the "Pioneers", which took only two penalties in the entire game.

Klagenfurt celebrates first win of the season
The EC-KAC celebrated its first win of the season with a 4-2 victory at HCB Südtirol Alperia, which relieved Head Coach Niklas Sundblad of his duties Friday morning. The "Rotjacken" thus extended the negative run of the "Foxes", which also suffered a defeat in the fourth game of the new season. Despite trailing early on, the runners-up were leading 2-1 until shortly before the second break. Tobias Sablattnig's first ICE goal (40.), put Klagenfurt on course – in the final third, Clemens Unterweger (50.) and Manuel Ganahl (56.) ensured the turnaround.
