Josef Hrabal was most recently involved with HC Prerov in the Czech second division, scoring 24 points (7G|17A) in 25 games this season. The former international has spent most of his career in the top division of his home country, where he played more than 500 games in 15 seasons. In addition, the defender had short engagements in the KHL, Liiga and Sweden, he signed at USA - there with the Oilers farm team Springfield Falcons - too. At the "Adler" he should provide more stability in the defense. On Tuesday he is expected to arrive at Villach, on Friday he should make his debut against the iClinic Bratislava Capitals.

"Josef Hrabal is a very experienced player. He is strong on the puck, plays a very good first pass and is also a strong skater. We are convinced that he can help us in the crucial phase of the championship. It won't be easy, but we want to try everything again to qualify for the playoffs via the intermediate round," says VSV General Manager Andreas Napokoj.
