Tim Geifes, who is only 19 years old, is moving from the American Youth League to the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV. The native of Lower Austria played 45 games for the South Shore Kings last season. In the process, the left winger recorded 21 points (12G / 9A). In addition, Finn Joona Erving will enter his second season with HK SZ Olimpija. Last season, the 27-year-old defenseman was on the ice 40 times (10 points).

Geifes to gain experience in Kitzbühel
At the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, Tim Geifes will receive a contract for the upcoming season and will initially gain experience in adult ice hockey at cooperation club EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel in the Alps Hockey League.

"Tim is considered a great Austrian hope for the future. He convinces with 1.87 meters height and is considered a strong two-way forward who works hard and gives no disc lost. Most recently, he played in the American Youth league. He should get used to adult ice hockey at our cooperation partner Kitzbühel and then recommend himself step by step for the professional team," emphasizes VSV General Manager Andreas Napokoj.

"I'm really looking forward to Villach. VSV is a top club. This is a super opportunity for me to prove myself in Kitzbühel for the time being and then make the jump to professional ice hockey at VSV. I am absolutely ready for it," says Tim Geifes.

Erving stays in Ljubljana
For Jonna Erving it will be the second season with HK SZ Olimpija. Before his time in Slovenia, the 27-year-old played for HK Poprad in Slovakia. He spent the rest of his career in his native Finland and in Sweden. For JYP, Erving was on the ice seven times in the first Finnish league.
