Win2day ICE Hockey League | 23.10.2022 | Schedule:
Sun, 23.10.2022, 4.30 pm: BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg – spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: BERNEKER, HUBER A., Basso, Martin. | >> LIVE AUF PULS24 <<
The spusu Vienna Capitals' winning streak is put to the test in Vorarlberg. The Viennese, which are unbeaten for four games now, will face the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg, which were game-free on Friday. The game will be broadcast live on PULS24 starting at 4:05 pm. The two teams meet each other for the second time, at the end of September in Vienna the "Caps" prevailed 2-1. And the team of Dave Barr has on Friday with his clear cut win in Pustertal (9-1) again strengthened the already great self-confidence. Especially the team's top scorer Matt Bradley is in good shape, scored the last six games in a row and tops team internal scoring charts with five goals and five assists each. Questionable for Vienna is Nikolaus Hartl, who could not finish Friday's game due to injury. The Pioneers can come up with fresh forces: The last game was nine days ago and with Donat Szita the Vorarlberg team has a try-out player in the line-up. The Pioneers recently suffered two home defeats in a row.

Sun, 23.10.2022, 5.30 pm: Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey – Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: NIKOLIC M., TRILAR, Pardatscher, Puff. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey celebrated its second win of the season on Friday, with Anthony Salinitiri scoring with 17 seconds left to secure the 4-3 victory against HCB Südtirol Alperia. It also marked the second ASH game-winner of the season for the Canadian, who currently recorded five goals and six assists. He made the first one at the season opener in Graz, when the Italians won 3:2. In the last two games in particular, Asiago impressed with its scoring efficiency: it took 17 shots on goal to score four goals in the 4-6 defeat in Villach, and only 12 for the four goals against Bolzano, making the newcomer the league leader in this category (12.81%). Challengers Graz, which have lost their last three games, are mainly struggling with their offensive play: A total of 16 goals is the lowest figure of all teams. Only about one in 19 shots on goal has been a goal so far. The Styrians also continue to struggle with injury problems: Fladeby, Ograjensek, Bouramman, Zalewski and Engstrand are likely to be absent.

Sun, 23.10.2022, 5.30 pm: EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV – EC Red Bull Salzburg
Referees: GROZNIK, SIEGEL, Kis-Kiraly, Vaczi. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV will play its first duel of the season against the reigning champions EC Red Bull Salzburg. The Carinthians have a four-game winning streak available, they got three of these success on their offensive strength: Against Fehervar, Asiago and Innsbruck it needed six goals each to win. With an average of 3.8 goals, VSV is the second strongest offensive team in the league. The "Adler" currently get a lot of offensive input from Andrew Desjardins: the former NHL player remained scoreless in his first six games of the season, in the last three games he always scored, coming up with four goals and one assist. Salzburg has always had good results in Villach in the past: The seven-time champions have scored in eight of their last nine games, winning six of them. Despite a lack of personnel, the reigning champions walked off the ice as winners on Friday, prevailing 6-4 in Székesfehérvár. Tim Harnisch, Aljaž Predan and Paul Stapelfeldt should be back for the game in Villach. Still absent are convalescents Lukas Schreier, Ty Loney, Thomas Raffl, Dominique Heinrich and Troy Bourke. Salzburg travels directly from Hungary to Carinthia. Villach, on the other hand, will be without Julian Payr and Elias Wallenta.

Sun, 23.10.2022, 5.30 pm: HK SZ Olimpija – HC Pustertal Wölfe
Referees: BAJT, PRIAGIC, Bärnthaler, Snoj. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
HC Pustertal Wölfe suffered their highest defeat since joining the league on Friday, losing 1-9 against Vienna in the debut of interim head coach Philippe Horsky, who changed the lines somewhat. Now the Wolves have to play away from home - and they haven't won anything on the road yet this year: In the four road games so far, there have been four defeats. The South Tyroleans have scored only three goals and remained scoreless twice. Opponents HK SZ Olimpija have picked up some momentum and are in a top-6 spot for the first time this season after Friday's 3-2 shootout win in Graz. The "Dragons" are without defeat for two games - mainly because their penalty killing is working very well: In the last six games they were outnumbered 20 times and conceded only one goal. Ivan Deluca is missing for Pustertal because of a suspension.

Sun, 23.10.2022, 6.00 pm: HCB Südtirol Alperia – EC-KAC
Referees: LAZZERI, LEGA, Mantovani, Rigoni. | >> PPV-Livestream <<
HCB Südtirol Alperia had to relinquish its lead in the standings on Friday. The two-time champion conceded a 3:4 defeat in Asiago, despite equalizing a three-goal deficit in the meantime. As a result, the "Foxes" were overtaken by Linz in the standings. Bolzano had been at the top since October 7. At home, however, the South Tyroleans are still unbeaten, the only team in the league: five games, five wins and only four goals conceded. The EC-KAC is the guest team, which after its home debut on Friday will be playing away again - and for the ninth time this season. Klagenfurt dominated its last game in the Sparkasse Arena with 7:0. Of the last ten games at the Ice Wave, each team won their five. Matt Frattin could be back in the lineup. At the Austrian record champion, which has won four of its last five away games, Kraus, Bischofberger and Unterweger are missing.
