In the win2day Austrian Women's Hockey League, the Sabres St. Pölten celebrated a clear 4:2 home win against the Lakers Kärnten in the Placement Round on Sunday. With this victory, the league leaders from Lower Austria now have a four-point lead over the Carinthians. In the Qualification Round, the Graz99ers Huskies also won their second game against the DEC Salzburg Eagles this weekend. As a result, the Graz99ers already have a seven-point lead over the Salzburg team in the table.

In the Placement Round, the Sabres St. Pölten also won their second match against the Lakers Kärnten. After the clear 6:0 away win last Saturday, the Lower Austrians celebrated an unchallenged 4:2 home win this time. The Sabres were already 3:0 ahead after 15 minutes and Rylee Davison even increased the lead to 4:0 after 25 minutes. It was the defender's second goal of the game and her first brace of the season. Towards the end of the second period, the visitors from Carinthia were able to score for the first time. In the final period, the second-placed team even managed a good result, as the Lakers won it 1:0. Huskies win again against Eagles
After the Graz99ers Huskies beat the DEC Salzburg Eagles 4:3/SO at home on Saturday, they followed up with a 2:1 away win on Sunday. Tamara Grascher scored the decisive goal just six minutes before the end of the game. The hosts had previously taken the lead in the sixth minute before the 99ers equalized in the 32nd minute. With eight points, the Huskies now have a seven-point lead over the Eagles and an eight-point lead over Villach.

Budapest Jegkorong Akademia and Tauron Metropolia Silesia faced each other for the second time in 24 hours in the European Women's Hockey League and Budapest again prevailed after overtime, this time 3:2.
