Already on the day of the arena collapse, the board of the WSV Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan de the note of continuing the season in as many stages as possible. After AHL clubs and other hockey organizations promptly offered their help, a solution for the continuation of the Alps Hockey League was found quickly, supported by the HC Brixen Falcons. From now on, the ice rink in Brixen will be Broncos’ fixed training and playing venue. Already Friday night, Dustin Whitecotton's team will resume practice there.

Whether the home games of the "Broncos" must be shifted selectively, is not yet certain. For Friday evening, another round of talks is scheduled between the responsible persons of Sterzing and Brixen.

"The board of Sterzing signaled from the beginning that they want to continue the season. We are happy that they have found a suitable playing and training venue so quickly with the ice rink in Brixen. It is always impressive to see how great the cohesion is within the hockey family. For any restructuring in the schedule, we have further promised our flexibility," said Michael Suttnig, league management.

The youth teams from Sterzing will resume their training in Brixen and at the Stilfes ice rink of AHC Freienfeld too. The logistical challenge - especially the transport of the youth players - is also associated with an additional financial outlay for the club, which is why a donation account has been set up.
