Zagreb, Bolzano and VSV with new signings

KHL Medvešcak Zagreb signed a young, domestic quartett for their Erste Bank Eishockey Liga Quartett. Luka Jarcov, Vilim Rosandic, Bruno Ficur and Bruno Kegalj made the jump into the first team. Rob Flick strengthens the offense of the EC VSV. The Canadian will head into his first season in Europe. The HCB Südtirol Alperia signed the defender Stefano Marchetti.

After signing many foreign hockey stars, Medvešcak strengthened their squad with four young domestic players. Luka Jarcov, Vilim Rosandic, Bruno Ficur and Bruno Kegalj will represent Medvešcak in EBEL next season.

20-year-old left winger Luka Jarcov signed for Medvešcak after five years spent in KHL Zagreb. Jarcov already played for Medvešcak as a loaned player in EBJL and EBYSL where he racked up 53 goals and 73 assists in 106 appearences. Jarcov represented KHL Zagreb in Croatian and Slovenian Championship and made 34 appearences at the international level for Croatia.

His biggest success came two years ago when Jarcov was one of the best players in Medvešcak's campaign to the final of EBYSL.
Only six days younger goalie Vilim Rosandic came to Medvešcak from Detva where he managed to win Slovakian second division last year. Rosandic started his career in Nitra where he played for under 18 and under 20 teams before he moved to Banska Bystrica where he debuted in strong Slovak Extraliga. Two years ago Rosandic was awarded as the best goalie of Slovakian under 20 Championship.

Same as Jarcov, Rosandic is playing for Croatia at the international level. He is the first goalie announced to play for Medvešcak next season.
Defensman Bruno Kegalj is the oldest one from domestic quartet. In his young career, Kegalj played for Banska Bystrica, KHL Zagreb and Medvešcak. In his only season at Banska Bystrica he made 41 appearence for under 18 and under 20 teams. Throughout his spell with KHL Zagreb Kegalj represented the club in Croatian and Slovenian Championship.

Kegalj played for Medvešcak in EBYSL and scored 14 goals assisting 44 times in his 146 appearences. He is also part of Croatian national team.
19-year-old Bruno Ficur represented KHL Mladost and Medvešcak in his career. For Medvešcak he collected 22 points in 53 appearences in EBYSL, while he played in Croatian and Slovenian Championship for KHL Mladost. Ficur is curently a member of under 20 Croatian national team.

Bolzano strengthens defense
The HCB Südtirol Alperia signed the Italian national player Stefano Marchetti – another important puzzle piece for the upcoming seasons defense. The 30-years old Italian collected already good experiences and will head now into his first season of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, after six years in Asiago. Marchetti is well known as a good technician and excellent preparer. 

VSV signs Rob Flick
The Canadian Rob Flick will head with the EC VSV into his first season in Europe. The 26-years old forward is well known for his physical game. In 2010 Flick was draftet in the fourth round of the Chicago Blackhawks and played than in the AHL. In the past season he played his first full season in the ECHL and booked 63 points in 60 games.
