On Tuesday, the Master Round leaders beat the new Austrian AHL champions 3:1 in Salzburg. Jakob Prast, Kevin Fink and RIT top scorer Max Coatta scored for RIT. Coatta has 48 scoring points (24G | 24A). It was the third win in the third season duel with the Juniors for the Buam, who are six points ahead of third-placed Red Bull Hockey Juniors in the table. With five wins in a row across all competitions, Ritten is currently the hottest team in the league. In the Master Round, the Alps Hockey League premiere champions have so far only been beaten by Cortina. The Juniors were victorious in three of their six Master Round encounters.
Thu, 15.02.2024, 20.30: S.G. Cortina Hafro - EK Die Zeller Eisbären
Referees: BENEVEGNU, RICCO, Grisenti, Wiest. | >> valcome.tv <<
The second game of the Master Round will be between the two losers of the respective national championships: S.G. Cortina Hafro welcomes the EK Die Zeller Eisbären. After a bumpy start to the Intermediate Round, the Austrians have recently shown an upturn trend, picking up seven points from their last three games. For the last two weeks of the Intermediate Round, however, the Salzburg team will have to compensate for further injury-related absences: In addition to Huard, Egger and Jennes, Tyler Cuma and Daniel Ban are now also out. The "Polar Bears" have brought in Finland's Janne Seppänen to replace Huard, who will no longer be able to play this season - he is set to make his debut for the runners-up. The Italians won their last match on Monday against Sterzing with 3:0. In the current championship, the away team has always prevailed in this duel. Cortina's Diego Cuglietta has been on a three-game goal-scoring streak, scoring a total of six goals in the last three games.
Alps Hockey League | Qualification Round A | 15.02.2024 | Schedule:
Thu, 15.02.2024, 20.30: HC Gherdeina valgardena.it - SIJ Acroni Jesenice
Referees: GIACOMOZZI, RUETZ, Cristeli, Fecchio. | >> valcome.tv <<
Both the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and SIJ Acroni Jesenice still have every chance of participating in the Pre-Playoffs: The Slovenians lead Qualification Round A with 13 points, while the South Tyroleans are in third place with eleven points - both teams have already played half of all games (4) in the intermediate round. The duo recently recorded two wins in a row. Val Gardena has been very strong at home - with the exception of the clear 3:6 defeat against Celje on January 25 - and has won six of its last seven home games. The defending champion, on the other hand, have weakened on the road, winning just two league games away from home since mid-November and conceding seven defeats. The last two meetings went to Val Gardena, with the away team winning the last five encounters between these two teams. The "Furie" have strengthened their ranks for the decisive phase of the championship with Stephan Deluca, who is moving to Val Gardena from the Bellinzona Rockets in Switzerland. In the preseason, the 23-year-old scored 30 points for Fassa (13G|17A).
Thu, 15.02.2024, 20:30: HC Meran/o Pircher - Steel Wings Linz
Referees: LEGA, SORAPERRA, De Zordo, Rivis. | >> valcome.tv <<
The HC Meran/o Pircher, second in the QRA table, welcomes the Steel Wings Linz - and is aiming for its fourth win in the Intermediate Round against the Upper Austrians. The South Tyroleans, who have currently played one game more than their direct rivals from Val Gardena and Jesenice, would thus clearly remain in the race for a place in the Pre-Playoffs. Linz has only one win in the Intermediate Round (3:2 OT against JES) and, even with a win on Thursday, only have a slim chance of progressing. Merano has won its last two home games against Linz.
Alps Hockey League | Qualification Round B | 15.02.2024 | Schedule:

Referees: FAJDIGA, KUMMER, Javornik, Telesklav. | >> valcome.tv <<
In Qualification Round B, the EC-KAC Future Team has the opportunity to turn the existing three-way battle for the Pre-Playoffs into a four-way fight: The Carinthians are in fourth place with three games remaining and are six points behind the leader and their upcoming opponent EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. The KFT are building on their home strength: they have always scored in their last six home games, winning five of them. Kitzbühel's away record is mixed, with three wins from the last nine games. However, the Eagles dominated their last clash with Klagenfurt on February 3: Thanks to a brace from Jannik Fröwis, the Tyroleans won 6:1.
Thu, 15.02.2024, 20.00: Hockey Unterland Cavaliers - EHC Lustenau
Referees: MOSCHEN, PRIAS, Formaioni, Pace. | >> valcome.tv <<
The Hockey Unterland Cavaliers and the EHC Lustenau will contest the chasing duel in Qualification Round B: The South Tyroleans are two points behind leader Kitzbühel, while the Austrians - with one game less - are three points behind. The EHC won the most recent meeting between these two teams 3:1, before which the "Cavaliers" celebrated four wins in a row. Lustenau's form is currently much better, with three wins from four games, while Unterland have just one win from four games. Both teams have shown a strong powerplay so far in the intermediate round with a success rate of over 33.3%. Lustenau has also only conceded one goal while shorthanded (90.9%). Goalie Lukas Moser from the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV could make his debut for Lustenau.
