HC Orli Znojmo has left the bottom of the table with a 4:1-home-win over the Dornbirn Bulldogs. EC Red Bull Salzburg and HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ have been successful in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga on Saturday as well.

Medvescak hosted back-to-back games and their rival Red Bull played two road games in two days. A goal galore in the first period started with the Bears breaking the score in the 13th minute as Sylvestre scored on a wrister from the middle with a 5-on-3 advantage. In the following minute Brine doubled the lead. The Bulls staged a comeback before the first siren: Vandevelde found the back of the net on a bounced puck, and then tied the score within a single minute. Heinrich brought the lead to Red Bull up two men from the left circle in the dying minutes of the first period. Medvescak were clearly better in the second period, but could not capitalize on the chances they created in front of the goal. Instead Feldner gave Salzburg a two-goal lead in the 39th minute. In the last period, the Red Bulls tried to decide the game with shots from everywhere (17:9-shots). Duncan has finally scored the 5:2.

HC Orli Znojmo has left the bottom of the table. The Czechs beat Dornbirn Bulldogs at home on Saturday. The „Red Eagles“ were more active in the first 40 minutes (26:17-shots) and were rewarded with a 2:0-lead: Radim Matus with a shot from about seven meters (9.) and Petr Mrazek from close range (33.)were successful. On the other side, goalie Teemu Lassila stopped all 17 shots from the guests in the first two periods. Period 3 started perfect for the guests from Dornbirn: Joel Broda netted the 1:2 after just 18 seconds. But, the „Red Eagles“ stayed unimpressed and responded applying pressure on their opponent (16:4-shots in period 3).  Mrazek has finally potted the 3:1 and decided the match in minute 47. Parkkonen has even netted the 4:1 (50.). The Czechs will face Leader spusu Vienna Capitals  on Sunday, while DEC will finish their road-trip in Linz.

Fehervar AV19 has started their road-trip with a 1:5-defeat in Innsbruck on Saturday. The Tyroleans have already decided the game in period 1: Andrew Yogan potted an early lead for the Austrians from near the left circle after 272 seconds. After scoring the 1:0, the hosts were the chiefs on the ice till the end of the period (16:7-shots). Their next goal(s) were just a question of time and were finally netted by John Lammers from near the right circle (12.) and from Ondrej Sedivy (20.) – 3:0. The Hungarians have shown character after the re-start: The Devils did more for the offense (16:7-shots in period 2) and were finally rewarded for their effort  with their first goal potted by Andrew Sarauer in minute 31. But, HCI goalie Rene Swette did not allow a second goal, he stopped 15 shots in period 2. In period 3, Ondrej Sedivy has quickly decided the game for the Sharks, netting the 4:1 after just 222 seconds. The hosts controlled the game now and have even added the 5:1. The Tyroleans will travel to Villach on Sunday, Fehervar AV19 will finish their road-trip in Bozen.
