Znojmo proved morality after early deficit

HC Orli Znojmo has lost his preseason game against the Czech club Mountfield HP by 2:4. After an early 0:3 deficit, the “Red Eagles” proved morality and kept the duel against last years semifinalist of the Czech Extraliga largely open. In the end, it was not enough for the second preseason-victory so far.

HC Orli Znojmo had a bad start into the game: Former NHL-player Tomas Vincour gave Mountfield HK a 1:0 lead early in the first period. The participant of the Czech Extraliga and last year semifinalist scored two more goals in the opening frame. The “Red Eagles” did not give up and later in the second new arrival Cam Braes scored his first goal for Znojmo (31.). Nearly at the same time the team of headcoach Miroslav Fryčer made a substitution on the goalkeeper, when Tomas Halasz came for Patrik Nechvatal. About 13 minutes to go in the last frame, Petr Mrazek scored the second goal for Znojmo in this game. Furhter, they tried to tie the game but Czech old hand Tomas Linhart increased to 4:2 for the hosts.
