Three games were played on Sunday in the European Women’s Hockey League. In the top clash, the EVB Eagles South Tyrol celebrated a 3–2 shootout home win against HK PSRZ Bratislava after trailing 0–2. With the victory, the South Tyroleans moved ahead of the Slovak side in the standings and now sit in third place, one point clear of Bratislava. In addition, the KSV Highlanders claimed a narrow 4–2 road win at the Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia, while MAC Budapest left no chance to the Graz99ers Huskies in a 4–1 victory. Read more
Four highly exciting games were played on Sunday in the win2day ICE Hockey League. In the top clash, second-placed Moser Medical Graz99ers overturned a 0–2 deficit against league leaders EC-KAC to claim a 4–2 home win. As a result, the Styrians are now just one point behind the Carinthians. A crucial 3–1 home victory was recorded by the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV against the Pioneers Vorarlberg, securing their place in the Pre-Playoffs. In addition, the EC Red Bull Salzburg and Olimpija Ljubljana both celebrated 2–1 overtime wins against the HC Falkensteiner Pustertal and the Steinbach Black Wings Linz respectively. Read more
The Sabres St. Pölten celebrated a convincing 4–0 win in Bolzano on Saturday, further extending their lead at the top of the European Women’s Hockey League standings. While Bratislava triumphed in Salzburg, both Budapest teams claimed home wins against their Styrian opponents. Read more
The reigning champions from Zell am See continued their strong run on Saturday by winning their fourth consecutive game in the Master Round. While the Red Bull Hockey Juniors held on to second place, Meran booked their ticket to the Pre-Playoffs from the Qualification group. HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated a 5–2 home win over Hydro Fehérvár AV19 on Saturday. With their third consecutive victory, Bolzano moved up to third place in the standings. FTC-Telekom secured a 5–4 road win in Innsbruck: the Hungarians turned the game around in the middle period with four goals and closed in on the Top 10. Read more
Ben Cooper has been suspended for one competitive game without probation and for an additional two games on a conditional basis with a 24-month probation period for violating the Code of Ethics and the disciplinary regulations of the win2day ICE Hockey League during Friday’s game against Klagenfurt. In addition, the Olimpija Ljubljana head coach has been fined €2,600, of which €1,300 is conditional. Read more
